Aleksi Hänninen

I am Aleksi Hänninen, an artist from Pieksämäki and I work at the Taidepesula art studio. My artist name is Rainbow. Being an artist is part of my life, and that’s what’s me.

Making art is relaxation for me and it takes my thoughts elsewhere. I hope that as many people as possible see my art in exhibitions and in different media and that my art inspires people.

I get my art ideas from my idols, the world around me and music, games and films. I create my works using many different techniques, such as drawing with markers and chalks, painting and combining different materials. I like to experiment and learn everything new. I also do art crafts, such as upcycling clothes, knitting, embroidery and tufting.

My art is very meticulous and I can immerse myself in making for a long time. Many of my works are black and white, but my colourful works have all the colours of the rainbow.
